Angela Carter’s best known title, Nights At The Circus is a fantastical romp full of colour and exaggeration – but if it’s a review you’re after, here’s one prepared earlier by The Guardian’s Sam Jordison [click here].
This book rates as a favourite for many and our copy is a very good example of the first edition, printed in 1984 and published by Chatto & Windus.
The pages are slightly age-toned (as usual) and there are some minor bumps to the board corners, but overall it presents very nicely indeed.
With bookseller’s sticker from iconic Adelaide feminist bookshop Murphy Sisters inside the front board. Angela Carter spent a number of years in Adelaide working at Adelaide University.
