Australia’s Greatest Rock Art [Walsh]

Out of stock

First edition of Grahame L. Walsh’s first book, Australia’s Greatest Rock Art. Commissioned by the Australian Government to produce a comprehensive record of this aspect of Indigenous culture for the National Bicentenary in 1988, his book “represents the first attempt to present an overview of Australian rock art to the general reader, illustrating it in context with the equally diverse environments with which it is associated and often reflects. Environmental plates illustrate site settings from the southern snowfields to Great Barrier Reef islands and from tropical rainforests to the central desert” [from front flap blurb].

Our copy is in excellent condition with a previous owner’s name on the ffep being the only blemish to an otherwise fine book.
