This comprehensive study was published by Tait Book Co (Melbourne, 1949). It’s author, Stanley Robert Mitchell, was a metallurgist who worked extensively in the field and acquired large quantities of aboriginal implements. Stone-age Craftsmen was his major contribution to the studies of Indigenous Australians and their culture.
Browning to top and bottom edges of dustjacket and endpapers where acid from tape has leached through. Otherwise, this book is in excellent condition.
