Paintings In Oil: LINDSAY, Norman
The Shepherd Press, Sydney, 1945. Subtitled ‘Fourteen reproductions in colour from original oil paintings, and 16 half-tone plates reproduced in black and white; with essays by Douglas Stewart and Norman Lindsay’, this is number 720 in a limited print run of 1000. (There was also produced a deluxe edition limited to 115 copies.)
This exquisite volume is heavilly foxed throughout and has water marking on the spine, together with small patches of black (tape) markings and rubbing on the board cover. However, the plates remain unaffected (and delightful) and, as such, we consider this volume to be still in very good condition.
Truly an essential addition to any Lindsay collection.
