Franz Philipp’s highly regarded record of one Australia’s foremost artists (Thames & Hudson, 1967).
Illustrated with 44 colour and 134 black & white reproductions. Arthur Boyd was a member of the prominent Boyd artistic dynasty in Australia – his relatives included painters, sculptors, architects & other arts professionals. Boyd’s work ranges from impressionist renderings of Australian landscape to starkly expressionist figuration, and many canvases feature both. He was a member of the Antipodeans, a group of Melbourne painters that also included Clifton Pugh, John Brack, Robert Dickerson, John Perceval and Charles Blackman.
Our copy of this comprehensive monograph is in very good condition – the only blemish being two small tears at the top of the dustjacket spine (as pictured).
